System Summary

SAYC (Standard American Yellow Card)

• 1 level openings are 12+ honor points. With 10 and 11 honor points you can also open at 1 level due to distribution.
• 2 minor over 1 minor is inverted minor.
• 2, 3, 4 level suit openings shows 6 to 10 honor points except 2♣ and 2NT.
• 3Major over 1Major is invitation.
• 1NT over 1Major is up to 11 points.
• New suit at 2 level over 1 level openings are 11+ points.
• 2NT over 1Major is not applicable.
• Responders’ jumps in a new suit shows 10- points.

About Me

I was born in 1984. Attended Adana Anatolian High School. After entering Middle East Technical University Chemistry department in 2002 I started playing bridge in METU Bridge club and by the help of my precious mentors such as Sabri Alan, Dogan Uzum, Ahmet Kahraman and Levent Ozgul I was interested in this game. In 2006 and 2009 I played in the Turkish Junior team. I’ve been playing and teaching bridge professionally in Istanbul since 2013. I’ve gained experience in giving bridge lessons by the help of Erdinc Erbil, Aksan Harac, Okay Gur, Huseyin Bakan and Tezcan Sen at the Major Bogazici Bridge Club in Istanbul. I’ve taught bridge in Bogazici and Galatasaray universities in Istanbul. Also my bridge classes still continue with my students under 16 in Major Bogazici Bridge Club. I’ve carried out Bridge Begin web site and application by the skill of Anar Musayev, professional web designer and my friend from university.
